Every pump that leaves our network is professionally refurbished and documented. Here's exactly what happens before a pump reaches you.
A "used" pump is simply a pulled part with unknown history. A refurbished pump is a professionally reconditioned unit — disassembled, inspected, repaired with new components where needed, reassembled to OEM tolerances, and tested under load.
The difference in outcome is significant. A used pump may fail in 2 weeks. A properly refurbished pump with our quality standards routinely performs for 12-24 months or longer under normal operating conditions.
This is why every pump in our network comes with a minimum 3-month warranty and a written test report — not just a verbal assurance.
No pump leaves our network without completing all 7 checkpoints. Each result is recorded in the written test report sent to the buyer.
The pump is fully disassembled to individual components. All parts are cleaned using industrial ultrasonic or solvent cleaning to remove contamination, sludge, and debris. This reveals hidden cracks, scoring, or wear that external inspection cannot catch.
Critical internal clearances — between pistons and cylinder bore, between gear teeth, or between vane and ring (depending on pump type) — are measured with precision instruments. Any component outside OEM tolerance is replaced.
All shaft seals, O-rings, and valve seals are replaced as standard — regardless of apparent condition. Bearings are inspected and replaced if showing wear. This is the single most common cause of pump failure and is never skipped.
After reassembly, the pump is connected to a test bench and run at rated working pressure. Actual pressure readings are recorded and compared to OEM specifications. Pumps that do not meet rated pressure are either further repaired or rejected.
Volumetric efficiency is checked by measuring actual flow output (LPM) at rated speed. A significant drop in flow rate vs OEM specification indicates internal wear and the pump is not dispatched until the issue is resolved.
External leakage check at all port connections, shaft seal, and housing joints. Any seepage — no matter how minor — means the pump returns for rework. Zero external leakage is mandatory before a pump passes inspection.
The pump is run under load for a minimum of 30 minutes. Abnormal noise (cavitation, bearing whine, knocking) and excessive vibration are checked. A pump that passes all 7 points runs quietly and smoothly — just like a new unit.
Unlike most refurbished pump sellers who offer only verbal assurance, PumpGrid provides a written quality test report with every pump dispatched.
The report includes: pump model and serial number, date of refurbishment, actual pressure reading, actual flow rate, seal replacement confirmation, and pass/fail status of each checkpoint — signed by the refurbishing workshop.
This document is your proof of quality and is also required to make a warranty claim if needed.

Sample report — actual values vary by pump
All pumps carry a minimum 3-month warranty from the date of dispatch. Extended warranty options are available for some models — ask at the quote stage.
If a pump fails due to a refurbishment defect within the warranty period, we coordinate a replacement — not a lengthy repair cycle. Your equipment gets back to work fast.
Warranty does not cover damage from contaminated hydraulic fluid, wrong installation, operating outside rated pressure/speed limits, or physical damage after delivery.
Send your pump requirement and we'll match it from our tested stock.
